What is KYC?

easypay, as a Payment Institution, complies with a set of laws and regulations issued by:

  • Banco de Portugal
  • European Central Bank
  • European Council

With the aim of combating money laundering and terrorist financing, easypay, as a payment institution, is required to know its clients and their respective organizations (as set out in Law No. 83/2017 of 18 August 2018, paragraph b) of article 24(1)).

To prevent these issues, easypay must request the following data:

  • General information
  • Information about legal representatives and beneficial owners
  • Banking information
  • Business model
