The merchant is responsible for maintaining this document to reduce revocation risk, as the customer’s bank may request it at any time to validate transactions.
Mandatory information in the ADC:
- Beneficiary name
- Product/service description
- Debtor details (name, address, email, signature, etc.)
- Payment frequency (monthly, yearly, etc.)
- Amount to be charged
- First debit date
Revocation rules
- If correctly issued, revocation can be made after D+45 via the bank
- If any field is missing or incomplete, the debtor has up to 13 months to revoke
ADCs can be issued on paper or electronically and must include all elements required to confirm customer authorization, including signature.
